How X-Protection checks your mail
The path of a message: gateway, checks, decision, delivery, and what you can see afterwards.
The message reaches the gateway
Because your MX points to mx.arabianmail.com, outside mail arrives at X-Protection first.
It is checked
The message is checked for authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam, dangerous attachments and links, and impersonation (X-Trust). Your allow and block lists apply.
A decision is made
Clean mail is delivered to your mail system. Suspicious mail is held in quarantine under a policy. Clear abuse is rejected at the gate.
You can see what happened
Mail trace and the audit trail record the decision, the checks and every release.
If something goes wrong
Does X-Protection read my mail?
Scoring happens on the X-Protection servers. Message content is not sent to an outside AI service.
