Mail server settings (IMAP, SMTP and ports)
The technical reference for connecting any mail client: protocols, ports, encryption and authentication.
Choose IMAP, not POP
Use IMAP so folders and read status stay in sync across devices. Mail stays on the server and counts toward your mailbox size.
Set the incoming server
Host from your account page (for example mail.arabianmail.com), port 993, encryption SSL/TLS, username your full address, normal password.
Set the outgoing server
Same host, port 465 with SSL/TLS. If your network or app only supports submission, use port 587 with STARTTLS. Authentication is always required.
Quick reference
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming protocol | IMAP, port 993, SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing protocol | SMTP submission, port 465 SSL/TLS (or 587 STARTTLS) |
| Username | Full e-mail address |
| Authentication | Normal password |
If something goes wrong
Can I use an app password?
Use the mailbox password. If you use two-factor sign-in for My Account, it protects only that page, not your mail client.
